Children always complain that their parents are out of date, while parents can’t approve of what their children say and do. Thus, a big generation gap is formed. The gap remains wide for many reasons. Children want to be free to choose their own friends, select their own classes in school, plan their own future, earn and spend their own money, and generally run their own life in a more independent way than many parents allow. Also, young children wish to be understood by their parents, but most parents don’t quite understand their children. They regard it as their responsibility to teach their offspring traditional beliefs. They want them to be obedient and do well in school. Therefore, misunderstanding often arise from parents’ tendency to interfere in children’s daily activities. In my opinion, most problems between parents and children could be solved by joint efforts of both sides to enhance mutual understanding. Enough!"I said when Father and Mother were still giving me more fish ad meat. My bowl was piled up like a little hill. "Don't study too late into the night. Do be careful of your health. Have you had any examinations recently?"Father asked me in great concern. My face turned red. I didn't dare to give Father an answer. I hadn't made any progress in my studies. I did badly in all subjects. I only got 60 for maths and failed in physics. "It doesn't matter. Try to find better study methods and to work harder. I am sure you can enter a college!"Hearing these words, I bent my head down. What a kind father! He didn't scold me, but encouraged me instead. "Have you used up the money I gave you last night?"With these words, Father was taking his wallet out."Mother has just given me 10 yuan.""Buy something to eat when you are hungry."Father passed me another ten-yuan note. Should I accept it? Father and Mother love me deeply. Why couldn't I get god marks in exams? Tears came into my eyes. "Don't cry. Now I will take you to the bus stop."As usual, Father carried that heavy bag and went to his dirty old bike. I have a happy family. There are four people in it.

It was Christmas 1961. I was teaching in a small town in Ohio where my twenty-seven third graders eagerly anticipated the great day of gifts giving. A tree covered with tinsel and gaudy paper chains graced one corner. In another rested a manger scene produced from cardboard and poster paints by chubby, and sometimes grubby, hands. Someone had brought a doll and placed it on the straw in the cardboard box that served as the manger. It didn't matter that you could pull a string and hear the blue-eyed, golden-haired dolly say, "My name is Susie." "But Jesus was a boy baby!" one of the boys proclaimed. Nonetheless, Susie stayed. Each day the children produced some new wonder -- strings of popcorn, hand-made trinkets, and German bells made from wallpaper samples, which we hung from the ceiling. Through it all she remained aloof, watching from afar, seemingly miles away. I wondered what would happen to this quiet child, once so happy, now so suddenly withdrawn. I hoped the festivities would appeal to her. But nothing did. We made cards and gifts for mothers and dads, for sisters and brothers, for grandparents, and for each other. At home the students made the popular fried marbles and vied with one another to bring in the prettiest ones. " You put them in a hot frying pan, Teacher. And you let them get real hot, and then you watch what happens inside. But you don't fry them too long or they break."So, as my gift to them, I made each of my students a little pouch for carrying their fried marbles. And I knew they had each made something for me: bookmarks carefully cut, colored, and sometimes pasted together; cards and special drawings; liquid embroidery doilies, hand-fringed, of course. The day of gift-giving finally came. We oohed and aahed over our handiwork as the presents were exchanged. Through it all, she sat quietly watching. I had made a special pouch for her, red and green with white lace. I wanted very much to see her smile. She opened the package so slowly and carefully. I waited but she turned away. I had not penetrated the wall of isolation she had built around herself. After school the children left in little groups, chattering about the great day yet to come when long-hoped-for two-wheelers and bright sleds would appear beside their trees at home. She lingered, watching them bundle up and go out the door. I sat down in a child-sized chair to catch my breath, hardly aware of what was happening, when she came to me with outstretched hands, bearing a small white box, unwrapped and slightly soiled, as though it had been held many times by unwashed, childish hands. She said nothing. "For me?" I asked with a weak smile. She said not a word, but nodded her head. I took the box and gingerly opened it. There inside, glistening green, a fried marble hung from a golden chain. Then I looked into that elderly eight-year-old face and saw the question in her dark brown eyes. In a flash I knew -- she had made it for her mother, a mother she would never see again, a mother who would never hold her or brush her hair or share a funny story, a mother who would never again hear her childish joys or sorrows. A mother who had taken her own life just three weeks before. I held out the chain. She took it in both her hands, reached forward, and secured the simple clasp at the back of my neck. She stepped back then as if to see that all was well. I looked down at the shiny piece of glass and the tarnished golden chain, then back at the giver. I meant it when I whispered," Oh, Maria, it is so beautiful. She would have loved it."Neither of us could stop the tears. She stumbled into my arms and we wept together. And for that brief moment I became her mother, for she had given me the greatest gift of all: herself. By Patricia A. Last night, when I read the news, then I saw the news which was touched my heart, it was said that people were easy to act their bad sides to their relatives, while leaving the good sides to the strangers. I agree to it, indeed, when taking to my parents, I always feel impatient and unwilling to listen to their voices. Sometimes I will argue to my parents and say out some terrible words, hurting their hearts. But when I talk to the strangers, I will be very politely, I am so afraid of leaving the bad impression to the strangers. Until then I did I realize what I had done to my parents, I should not treat them like this, they are the ones who will not leave me when I meet difficulties, I should give them my respect and my kind heart. When we go to school, the teachers tell us that we should respect our parents. Parents are who raise us, giving all their hearts to look after us. For my parents, they are the best people for me, when I am sick, they look after me carefully. When I go home late, they will worry about me. They give me so much, I love them. Last week our music teacher taught us a song, named Indebted Heart. Through it I know that we should live with a thankful heart. At that time, I think of my parents. I think they are the first people I should thank. It’s them who give me life. It’s them who give me home. It’s them who bring me up. It’s them who look after me. It’s them who teach me knowledge and live happily. I should thank my parents giving me so much. Maybe I should think how to pay back the love my parents give me. But now I think the best way to be appreciated of my parents is to study well and then being a useful person to the society when I grow up.

Take the Son wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They had everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art. When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son. About a month later, just before Christmas, there was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands. He said, "Sir, you don't know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly. He often talked about you and your love for art." The young man held out the package. "I know this isn't much. I'm not a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this." The father opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture. "Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It's a gift." The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came to his home, he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected. The man died a few months later. There was to be a great auction of his paintings. Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection. On the platform sat the painting of the son. The auctioneer pounded his gavel. "We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this picture?" There was silence. Then, a voice in the back of the room shouted, "We want to see the famous paintings. Skip this one." But the auctioneer persisted. "Will somebody bid for this painting. Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?" Another voice said angrily, "We didn't come to see this painting. We came to see the Van Goghs, the Rembrandts. Get on with the real art!" But still the auctioneer continued. "The son! The son! Who'll take the son?" Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the longtime gardener of the man and his son. "I'll give $10 for the painting." Being a poor man, it was all he could afford. "We have $10. Who will bid $20?" "Give it to him for $10. Let's see the masters." "$10 is the bid. Won't someone bid $20?" The crowd was becoming angry. They didn't want the picture of the son. They wanted the more worthy investments for their collections. The auctioneer pounded the gavel. "Going once, twice, SOLD for $10!" A man sitting on the second row shouted, "Now let's get on with the collection!" The auctioneer laid down his gavel. "I'm sorry; the auction is over." "What about the paintings?" "I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will. I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time. Only the painting of the son would be auctioned. Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings. The man who took the son gets everything!"

From childhood to adulthood, our parents care about us all the time. When we fall, when we are injured, when we are sad, the first ones who come to us are our parents.

I remember once when I was ill, my parents rushed me to the hospital. Looking at my parents' anxious look, I was very pleased. Inadvertently, I saw a few white hair of mom and Dad, ah, mom and dad have changed and become old.

I seem to have seen the vicissitudes of years, the hardships of life, and their hard work for me in their body... Read and think: No, mom and dad have not changed, their love for me has not changed at all, I still feel warm and happy!

Today, I'm going to do something to make my parents happy to repay them. After repeated thinking, I decided to cook a bowl of noodles for my parents.

I opened fire first, then put some oil. After a while, I put the eggs in. The "zizizi" pot made a sound immediately. There was still a lot of oil jumping up from the pot, almost "jumping" to my hand. After frying one side, I add a small spoon of salt, and then turn the eggs over with a spatula. After frying, I put the eggs in a small bowl, and then I start to cook noodles.

I first put some water into the pot. After a while, when the water boiled, I put the noodles in. Then I picked up a pair of chopsticks and kept stirring. Then I put in some vegetables, ham sausage and eggs to cook. After a while, I turned off the fire and put the noodles in two bowls. Wow, it's delicious! I couldn't help smelling it.

I put the cooked noodles on the table, then put a piece of paper with the words "Mom and Dad, I love you" on the side, and then hid in the room waiting for mom and dad to get off work. After a while, mom and Dad were exhausted after work, but when they saw the noodles and notes on the table, their faces showed a happy smile.

Dad, you are like a big tree, shielding me from the wind and rain. Mom, you are like the sun in spring, giving me boundless light; You are like a wisp of breeze in summer, give me refreshing. In short, thousands of words into a sentence: "Mom and Dad, I love you!"

An Unforgettable Experience with My ParentsOne of the most memorable experiences I shared with my parents happened during our family trip to a remote village nestled in the mountains. It was a journey that brought us closer together and left a lasting impression on our adventure began with an arduous trek through lush forests and winding trails. The air was crisp, and the scenery was breathtaking. As we hiked, we engaged in heartfelt conversations, cherishing the rare opportunity to spend quality time together away from the hustle and bustle of our daily hours of walking, we arrived at the village. It was a place untouched by modernization, with traditional houses made of wood and straw roofs. The simplicity and serenity of the village immediately captivated us. We were warmly greeted by the locals, who welcomed us into their homes and offered us a glimpse of their unique way of our stay, we immersed ourselves in the local culture and customs. We participated in traditional dances, tried our hand at crafting local handicrafts, and even learned how to cook traditional dishes. It was a humbling experience to witness the locals' resilience and contentment with life's simple particular evening stands out vividly in my memory. As the sun set behind the mountains, we gathered around a bonfire with the villagers. We shared stories, laughter, and songs, creating an atmosphere of warmth and unity. In that moment, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude for my parents and the opportunity to be a part of this extraordinary next day, we bid farewell to the village and its welcoming inhabitants. Although we were leaving, the memories we had created would forever remain in our hearts. Our trip had strengthened the bond between my parents and me, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for one unforgettable experience taught us the value of simplicity, community, and the importance of cherishing moments spent with loved ones. It served as a reminder to slow down, embrace new experiences, and find joy in the little things that life has to we journeyed back home, I couldn't help but reflect on the profound impact this trip had on our lives. It was not merely a vacation but a transformative experience that shaped our perspectives and strengthened our familial this day, whenever we gather as a family, we fondly reminisce about that remarkable journey to the remote village. It serves as a constant reminder of the beauty of the world, the significance of family, and the enduring memories we create together.

When I was a little child,I was so naughty that I always did something angry my always blamed to me,but I never listened to thought they were too strict with I changed in parents always told me to be careful when I went I thought was they worried too my way to take the bus home, there was a traffic day, when I got to the cross road, the light was red,but there was no car crossed the road I went across the road without the light turning to this moment,a car rushed quickly towards was suddenly scared,so that I couldn’t move but stood driver broke the car quickly and I did not get I did couldn’t image what would happen if the car did not stop in told my parents what I first, they blamed me as usual and I knew I was wrong that did not say realized that I was frightened,so they comforted me finally
