1、complain的基本意思是“抱怨”“诉苦”。指心中对人或事物不满或身体感到不适或痛苦而对别人诉说或抱怨,有时也可表示说话者引起别人对此事的注意。
2、用作不及物动词时,其后可接of或about引起的短语, of后常是诉苦的内容,可为名词或动名词,而about后则是对抱怨事物概括的陈述。当表示“向…抱怨…”时,要用complain to sb of〔about〕 sth 结构。
3、complain用作及物动词时,可接that从句,但不能接动词不定式。

Step 1: In person

Wherever possible complain in person as you are more likely to get results. Make sure you are taking your complaint to the person in charge, as they will be the one with the authority to settle the complaint. Be assertive but never aggressive.

Step 2: State your case

Step 1: In person
