暑假在家闲着没事，便较真了一回，看看这40篇短文到底是什么货色。于是在网上很容易地下载了。用word的统计了一下，40篇短文的字数为7652字。如果7000多字的短文能够涵盖3500单词，那么文章的设计一定是非常巧妙，把3500单词编排成有意义的7000多单词，那一定不是一般人能做得到的。
姑且把这看成是真的，那么这些单词的平均复现率仅仅为，而且多数单词只出现一次，如此低的复现率怎么容易记忆？ 如果这些单词不是通过别的方式记住的话，如此高的生词率，学生怎么有可能背下来呢？
看看每篇文章的标题，发现多数不过是介绍风土人情等的说明文，并没有什么特别的，似乎并不是为了涵盖3500单词而专门编写的。
好在现在各种软件都有，可以非常容易地统计词汇，那么我们看看这40篇短文究竟包含了多少单词。
