Jingle Bells（铃儿响叮当）这首歌恐怕是最为人们熟悉的圣诞歌曲。可是这首歌最初并不是为 圣诞节 所写，而是为感恩节所作的。

1857年，词曲作家詹姆斯·罗德·皮尔彭特(James Lord Pierpont, 1822 - 1893 )的父亲在波士顿一所学校任职。这首歌是吉米写给父亲的学生们，帮助学生们参加感恩节演出用的。
